Born on September 2, 1977, Yamid Selcedo Haad is an athlete from Colombia. He is a professional baseball player for the San Diego Padres of the Major League Baseball. He bats and throws with his right hand and plays as a catcher. He made his Major League Baseball Debut on July 5, 1999 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. However, he played only one game for the Pirates and made a 0-1 win-loss record. He became a backup catcher in 2005 for Mike Matheny as a replacement for Yorvit Torrealba who moved to Seattle Mariners. He had ten starts with the Giants that season and was unluckily suspended for steroid use issues. That year, he recorded two hits with a batting average of .071 and had 28 at-bats.
