Retired Canadian professional ice hockey center man, Ron Francis had played for the Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Carolina Hurricanes, and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was born on March 1, 1963 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Francis was drafted during the first round of the National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers as the team's fourth overall pick.
