Robert John Pack was born on February 3, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a former National Basketball Association player known by the name “Pac-Man”. Listed at 6 ft. 2 in., he played as a point guard for the teams he joined. Pack attended Tyler Junior College and graduated from University of Southern California. He started his professional career with the Portland Trail Blazers with which he played 72 games and recorded 4.6 PPG and joined the NBA Finals in 1991. After the team's lost to Chicago Bulls, Pack was traded to the Denver Nuggets. He spent three seasons with the Nuggets and was part of the team that won over the Seattle Supersonics in the Western Conference Playoffs in 1994. After his stint with the Nuggets, he was transferred to the Washington Bullets in 1995. He appeared in 32 games for the team and recorded 18 PPG average and 4.3 RPG. According to statistics, that was his best record in his entire career. He signed with the New Jersey Nets before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks with which he played 54 games. He won the second place in the Slam Dunk Contest of the NBA in 1994. After his playing career, he went to coach the New Orleans Hornets as an assistant to the team's head coach.
