Mike Hartenstine is a retired professional football player. He played in the National Football League from 1975 all the way to 1987. Hartenstine played primarily for the Chicago Bears but ended his career with the Minnesota Vikings. Hartenstine is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and went to Liberty High School. During his rookie year, he led the league in safeties and is ranked 69th for career safeties. He was able to lead the league in a number of areas including non-offensive touchdowns during the 1976 season. He was ranked eighth for that season and sixth for interception returns for touchdowns.
