Martin Gerber is a professional ice hockey player. He was born in Burgdorf, Switzerland and is the goaltender for the Atlant Moscow. Gerber is currently playing for the Kontinental Hockey League. Gerber has also played in the National Hockey League. He was playing for the SCL Tigers and comprised the Nationalliga B. After he led the Tigers to a win, he was transferred to the Nationalliga A. Gerber was drafted by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 2001 during the NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional NHL debut in 2002 against the Dallas Stars. Gerber is the second player with Swiss descent to win the Cup. In 2009, he became the Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender for a short time. He signed with the Alant Moscow of the KHL also in that year.
