Mark Pope is a former National Basketball Association player who hails from Omaha, Nebraska. He spent his college basketball career in two universities, the University of Washington and then moved to University of Kentucky. As a college basketball athlete, he showed great potential that attracted a lot of NBA teams to have him drafted. He was included in the team's NCAA Men's Basketball team that won the championship. His final season as a college basketball athlete was in the 2005 to 2006 season. His professional career took off after he was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the National Basketball Association Draft in 1994. While in the league, he also became part of the Milwaukee Bucks which he signed in 2000. According to reviews, he had his greatest season as part of the team in the 2000-2001 seasons. That year, he had the highest point per game average for his entire career. From 2003 to 2005, he played for the Denver Nuggets. Aside from NBA, he also appeared in a few leagues in Turkey. There, he played for the Efes Pilsen in the 1996 to 1997 season. He also joined the Ulkespor in the 1999 to 2000. After his professional playing career, he became Wake Forest University's assistant coach. He worked under the school's head coach, Jeff Bzdelik.
