Loy Stephen Vaught, also called Loy Vaught, was born on February 27, 1967 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a retired basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He played a total of ten seasons mostly of which are played with the Los Angeles Clippers . He started playing basketball when he was in high school at the East Kentwood High School in the town of Kentwood in Michigan. In college, he was one of the star player when the University of Michigan Wolverines won the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship in the year 1989. In the year 1990, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers and for a short span, he became on of the most popular forwards with an average of 16.2 points and ten rebounds per game. He missed four games in between 1994 and 1997 and an injury slowed down his rise to fame in 1997 also. Because of that injury, he only played fifty one games per season. His last games were played with the Dallas Mavericks , Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards. He had a good reputation as rebounder and a defense man. He was included twice in the top ten defensive rebounders.
