Kareem Lamar Rush is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He is from Kansas City, Missouri graduated from Pembroke Hill High School. He spent his college basketball career playing for the University of Missouri. He led the Missouri Tigers to the Western Regional Finals in the NCAA tournament which they lost to Oklahoma. Kareem Rush started his professional career after being selected as the 20th overall draft pick in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. He was immediately traded off to the Los Angeles Lakers where he played a huge part in the team's winning the Western Conference finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also had a contribution to the Lakers' NBA Finals berth against the Detroit Pistons though they lost. He was injured in a game against the New Orleans Hornets and then joined the Seattle SuperSonics in 2006. He had a stint playing for the Lietuvos Rytas of the ULEB Cup and led his team to clinch the Baltic Basketball League title. He then returned to the NBA on July 2007 and played for the Indiana Pacers, then joined the Philadelphia 76ers in 2008, and finally signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2009.
