Jayson Richard Gowan Werth was Born on May 20, 1979 in Springfield, Illinois. He is currently playing for the Philadelphia Phillies in the Major League Baseball as an outfielder. His first major break came in when he played for Glenwood High School in which he had a batting average of .652 during his senior year including 15 home runs in 31 games. He still played the entire season despite of the injury. Werth missed the entire season of 2006 after he suffered again another wrist injury. He was signed by the Phillies on December 19, 2006 for one-year contract. From then on, he had many achievements like being the 14th player who did a 500 hit home run and clinched the 2009 Major League Championship Series.
