Frederick Roberts, more famously known as Fred Roberts, is a former professional basketball player who hails from Provo, Utah. He was a power forward at Brigham Young University from the 1978 to the 1982 seasons. In his college basketball career, he played in 119 games and made a PPG average of 15.5 points with 7 RPG. His National Basketball Association career started with the Milwaukee Bucks which drafted him in the NBA Draft of the 1982 season. After his first few seasons as a pro with the Bucks, he was traded to the New Jersey Nets and then sent to the San Antonio Spurs where he had his first regular season as a pro. After one full season with the Spurs, he joined the Utah Jazz but shortly after was sent back to the Milwaukee Bucks. With the Bucks, he had five seasons and made 10 PPG in his longer appearances in the games. After he was released by the Bucks, he played in Spain and appeared in the Continental Basketball Association for the Chicago Rockers. He went back to the NBA and was signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers and also with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks .
