Frank Mitchell Winters is a retired American football player in the National Football League. He hails from Hoboken, New Jersey and was born on January 23, 1964. After graduating high school from Emerson, he attended college at the Western Illinois University and Easter Utah Junior College. Winters began playing professionally when he was selected as 276th pick overall in the 10th round of the 1987 NFL Entry Draft by the Cleveland Browns. After spending one season with the Browns, he went to the New York Giants in 1989. He then played for the Kansas City Chiefs and then finally signed with the Green Bay Packers . Nicknamed Frankie Baggadonuts or Old Bag of Donuts, Winters served as the Packers' starting center for eight seasons. He played in the 1996 Pro Bowl and got the USA Today All- Pro Award in 1999. According to NFL.com, he made a record of 231 games played, with 147 games started and 5 fumble recoveries. Winters was elected to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame on July 18, 2008.
