He played for the Cubs from 1943 - 1944, Dodgers from 1944 - 1947, Braves from 1948 - 1949, Giants from 1950 - 1951 and Cardinals from 1952 - 1953. Over 11 seasons, he played 1259 games, hit 29 home runs, drove in 811 runs, and stole 48 bases. Born on September 3, 1915 in Philadelphia, PA, Stanky stood 5' 8 and weighed 170 lb. He attended Northeast (Philadelphia, PA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 21, 1943 and he played his final game on July 25, 1953. Over his career, Stanky made $32,000.
