Over 11 seasons, he started 100 games, won 73 games, struck out 680 batters, and had a 3.99 ERA. Born on March 5, 1950 in Corona, CA, Bird stands 6' 4 and weighs 180 lb. He attended Pomona (Pomona, CA) high school and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 3rd round of the 1969 amateur draft (June Secondary).
