Over 10 seasons, he played 846 games, hit 30 home runs, drove in 254 runs, and stole 8 bases. Born on December 26, 1948 in Claremore, OK, Rader stands 5' 11 and weighs 165 lb. He attended South (Bakersfield, CA) high school and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st round (18th pick) of the 1967 amateur draft.
