Born on March 28, 1969, he finished his high school education at Rancho Alamitos High School where he developed his baseball skills. In college, he went to play for the Golden West College where he impressed baseball fans with his noteworthy third baseman skills. He went to play in the Major League Baseball after being drafted by the Minnesota Twins during the 1987 Major League Baseball amateur draft. Paquette is a 36th round pick by the Twins but he opted not to sign with the team. He was drafted once again by the Oakland Athletics in the amateur draft in the 1989 season. He played for the Athletics until 1996 and after the said season, he was released by the team. Paquette also appeared for a few other MLB teams like the Kansas City Royals which he signed on April 3, 1996. On December 23, 1977, he joined the New York Mets by signing a deal with the team and likewise became part of the St. Louis Cardinals. His last team in the Major League Baseball was the Detroit Tigers which he left in 2003. As of the 2008 season, Paquette holds a career statistics of 99 hone runs and .239 hitting average.
