Cherokee Parks is a former National Basketball Association player who was born on October 11, 1972. Hailing from California, he had his college basketball career at Duke University where he became known as a versatile and notable player. In his first year in the university's basketball team, he was able to become part of the national championship which gave him his very first winning title. He was motivated by the team's coach, Mike Krzyzewski and continued to harness his playing skills as preparation for his professional career. His first team as a professional player in the National Basketball Association was the Dallas Mavericks which drafted him in the National Basketball Association Draft in 1995. Parks was the 12th overall selection in the said draft. After his stint with his parent team, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves where he improved more and scored his career-high statistics. He also signed with the Vancouver Grizzlies and became part of the Washington Wizards. Parks also appeared for the Los Angles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, as well as the San Antonio Spurs. His highest PPG average in his entire career was 7.1 and logged 5.5 RPG averages, which he made during the 1997 to 1998 seasons with the Timberwolves.
