William Robert Hill, commonly known as Bobby Hill, is a former Major Baseball league player who was born on April 3, 1978 in San Jose, California. He played collegiate baseball in University of Miami where he exhibited great infielding skills. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the Major Baseball League and made his first appearance in the league on September 7, 2002. He played in the Atlantic League in 2000 before he appeared in MLB. He joined the team Newark Bears in the said league. In that season with the Newark Bears, he played 132 games and posted a record of .326 batting average and made 13 home runs with 82 runs batted in. He had 81 stolen bases and 101 walks. Hill joined the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2003. With the Pirates, he made a .266 bating average in 2004 and had 2 home runs. He spent the 2005 season mostly in the minor league and in November of that year, he moved to the San Diego Padres. Again, he played in the minor in 2006. In 2008, he went back to play for the Newark Bears again in the Atlantic League. He spent 24 games in 2009 and later on signed with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League in 2010.
